We always visit Mamzar Park when in Dubai. The place is fantastic for families and things to do. On our recent trip, we discovered some families making the most of the chalets there for rent, which got me thinking about how to book Al Mamzar Park chalets. So, we tried our best to search for more information, put them together and wrote this quick guide for people willing to book their stay in those chalets.
Many beaches in Dubai have basic services which include restrooms, changing rooms and showers. But Al Mamzar Beach Park offers a next-level experience to any visiting families by allowing the rental of beach chalets. Let’s see how can you book one for your family outing in Al Mamzar Beach.
Where Are Al Mamzar Beach Chalets Located?
Located at the northern end of Al Mamzar Park, these chalets are unlike normal ones. They are quite far from the main entrance but you have two options to get there.
Either you park the car at the main door or pay an additional RTA fee and drive the car to the chalet area. These single hall room chalets have an outdoorsy feeling in addition to the sloping roofs and overhanging eaves.
The chalets are well furnished, properly air-conditioned and equipped with a BBQ area too!
How to Get There?
Al Mamzar Beach Park sits right on the north-east tip of Dubai Emirate where it overlooks the border of Sharjah. This surely makes this place on an off-the-beaten-path because all major tourist attractions are located on the other side of the city.
We have to accept that public transport links to this park are not that great unlike the other beaches in Dubai. So, Al Mamzar park can be best accessed when you have a car with you!
There is no Dubai Metro station within the walking distance of the park. The nearest can be spotted around 3.5 miles away from the park entrance.
Bus service route C28 connects the park to the Gold Souq Bus Station. But you have to reach the Gold Souk before boarding the bus unless you are staying near any of its stoppages.
Getting to Al Mamzar Park by taxi is not a problem but getting back from there is the real challenge. Taxis are not always available at the park entrance. You can book a car via Uber or Careem, but the fare will be quite hefty due to this remote location.
Where to Park the Car?
We are happy to answer this with a big ‘YES’. The car parking lot at the Al Mamzar Beach Park is huge and it can accommodate as many as 1,000 vehicles at a time. In addition, parking just outside the entrance is free.
You can also park your car inside the park by paying a nominal parking fee. Car parking spaces inside the park are located near the swimming pool area and Flamingo Beach.
How Many Types of Chalets Are There?
Al Mamzar Park offers rental services of 15 chalets divided into two broad categories and here is the detail of each type below.
1. Large Chalets
Large chalets are designed for accommodating a large family of up to 12 members. These fully furnished and air-conditioned chalets are equipped with an indoor five-seater sofa, television, folding chairs, kitchen (refrigerator, kitchenette with sink), shower and washroom with running hot and cold water. Each chalet also has outdoor seating and BBQ area.
2. Small Chalets
Small chalets are curated to accommodate fairly a family of 8 members. These chalets have the same facilities that large chalets have but with smaller floor space. There are 10 small chalets out of the 15 in total and the rest are being large chalets. Nevertheless, you can also enjoy outdoor sitting areas and BBQ parties in small chalets.
3. Chalets For People of Determination
Al Mamzar Beach Park is respectful of the rights of the most vulnerable segment of society – The People of Determination. This is why they have designed another sub-category in their chalet segment apt for such differently-abled people. So, a family with a member of determination can book chalet numbers 13 and 15. Both these chalets are specifically designed for the people of determination and equipped with flat pathways and much more.
How Much Does It Cost to Book a Chalet at Mamzar Park?
The cost to book a chalet is very economical and really depends upon your choice. Although the chalet fee does not include any of the park fees, you have to pay an additional fee for park entry, parking fee etc.
You can book a large chalet for up to 12 family members by paying 200AED for a full day. The charges to book a small chalet for up to 8 family members are 150AED for a full day.
No wonder, such a scenic beach attracts huge visitors on weekends and public holidays. So, it would be wiser to plan ahead about booking the chalet. You can book the chalet by downloading the Dubai Municipality App on your mobile. It’s that simple and convenient.
Tips: Here comes our little piece of advice before you book the Al Mamzar Beach Park Chalets. It is not at all easy to get a booking confirmation as those chalets are always in demand. Therefore, be prepared to get heartbroken if you don’t book them well ahead of your visit.
Chalet Rental Hours
Chalet rental hours are different than the park opening and closing hours. You can go to the chalet one hour after the park opening time and you have to vacate it an hour before the park closing time.
Chalet Rental Hours:
- Sunday to Wednesday: 9:00 am to 9:00 pm
Note: Mondays and Wednesdays are meant for women and children only. Boys up to 6 year of age can accompany the ladies. These are Ladies Days at Al Mamzar Park.
- Thursday to Saturday: 9:00 am to 10:00 pm
- During the Holy month of Ramadan: 9:00 am to 9:00 pm
Note: The two days reserved for women are postponed during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
How to Book a Chalet?
Chalets in Al Mamzar park are very popular amongst visitors as it gives you privacy like home, but all that right at the beach! We’d always recommend going for the advance booking due to high demand.
During the peak seasons, it is not uncommon to see the chalets booked for up to 6 months! Al Mamzar Beach Park is so popular, yet there are only 15 chalets available for booking. So, do not forget to reserve your chalet as early as possible.
There are two different ways to book your chalets at Al Mamzar Beach Park. They are as follows –
1. Booking at Mamzar Park Ticket Counter
One can confirm the booking of chalets by visiting the park ticket counter. On the day of your visit, they will hand over the key to you and hold it in place of your identity card. At the end of the day, they will survey the chalet to check for any damage and subsequently release your card in exchange of the roo key.
2. Online Booking
You can also book a chalet online. Download the Dubai Municipality app and confirm your booking via your phone. You can follow the links to download the app for android and IOS below.
